Features of UVAC

UVAC systems are popular for their modularity, durability, and vacuum-tight seal capabilities.

• Modularity: We like to think of UVAC flanges as adaptable templates. They offer standard-size openings that fit a variety of connector sizes and variants. Ultimately, the flange can accommodate various system needs, achieving a vacuum-sealed connection without needing to cut a custom hole for every connector type. Instead of machining custom openings for each, you simply insert the appropriate D-Sub feedthrough into the UVAC flange’s pre-sized openings.
• Durable Machining: Like other Positronic products, the contacts installed in our D-Sub hermetic connectors are machined using solid copper alloys for strength, reliability, and durability.
• M24308 Intermateable: Positronic connectors used in UVAC feedthrough flange systems are intermateable with MIL-DTL-24308-style connectors.
• Mounting: UVAC is designed for laboratory vacuum applications and feature a universal mounting style for each size. Both sides of the feedthrough connectors contain two threaded mounting holes, an O-ring groove, and fixed female jackscrews, allowing either side of the connector to be mounted toward the vacuum.
